LACTIMED aimed to strengthen the production and distribution of typical and innovative dairy products in the Mediterranean by organising local supply chains, supporting producers in their development projects and creating new outlets for their products. Within the framework of the project, eight clusters of dairy producers were created to facilitate networking, the pooling of resources and the development of new collective forms of market access.
The LACTIMED project has thus made it possible to strengthen the production and innovation capacities of local producers, based on local resources and traditional know-how, by supporting them in their development projects. By mobilising the media, distribution actors and operators in the catering and tourism sectors, the influence and distribution of typical Mediterranean dairy products have been strengthened on local and international markets.
