Our values

Since the institutional creation of their network in 2006, ANIMA members have maintained a number of values that unite them and guarantee mutual respect and smooth cooperation within the network.

— Innovate and inspire with a pioneering attitude

— Supporting transitions

ANIMA’s experts and collaborators are in a privileged position to identify, develop and disseminate new ideas. Thanks to this, and to its light structure and flexible governance, ANIMA has always been able to stay one step ahead, giving the network part of its relevance and added value.

ANIMA aims to mobilize and support the private sector in social and environmental transitions. Aware of the urgent need to act in the face of climate change, the ANIMA network is committed to the Business for Climate Convention and to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

— From diagnosis to concrete action

— Treat everyone equally

The network has always endeavored to do more than diagnose and plead, and not limit itself to incantation, by striving to implement its recommendations, when within its reach, within the framework of projects.

Everyone in the ANIMA network, whether they come from a governmental, territorial, public or private organization, from a northern or southern country, is treated equally.

— Subsidiarity principle

The network’s aim is also to assist, accompany, support and guide where necessary, but never to replace its partners. The network believes that, whatever the context, it will always be more effective in the long term to strengthen and legitimize existing structures than to replace them, even on an ad hoc basis.

Our added value

The agility and responsiveness of a human-scale structure.

The legitimacy of a public-private field network.

The credibility of a public-interest organization.

Experience and management capacity acquired after 17 years of activity and more than 45 cooperation projects.
