About

The Research to Business (R2B) Programme is a regional initiative designed to strengthen research commercialization across the Mediterranean. Led by Berytech in partnership with ANIMA  and the University of Barcelona, the programme helps research teams transform scientific discoveries and applied research results into market-ready innovations.

Aligned with the Union for the Mediterranean’s Research and Innovation agenda and the 2022 UfM Ministerial Declaration, R2B supports innovation-driven solutions addressing regional challenges related to climate change, renewable energy, water management, health, sustainable industry, agriculture, and the green and blue economies.

Through a structured Research-to-Market approach, the programme provides researchers with commercialization tools, expert mentoring, investor exposure, and access to regional collaboration opportunities.
