EUROMED DAYS 2026: Strengthening Investment for a More Resilient Mediterranean
Published on 30 June 2026
Held in Nicosia from 15 to 17 June 2026, the EUROMED DAYS marked the 20th anniversary of ANIMA Investment Network, bringing together public decision-makers, investors and economic stakeholders around a common objective: strengthening investment partnerships between Europe and the Mediterranean to build a more integrated, resilient and competitive economic area.

Discussions highlighted the need to develop genuine Euro-Mediterranean investment corridors, based on co-development rather than simple relocation. Speakers called for joint production, stronger local skills development and deeper regional value chain integration, particularly in the green economy, circular economy, creative industries and technology sectors.

Another key takeaway was the importance of better structuring investment projects to make them more attractive to investors. Investment Promotion Agencies, public-private partnerships and development institutions were identified as key players in supporting projects from their design phase through to financing.

Participants also stressed the strategic importance of green corridors, built on stronger industrial and energy cooperation. They emphasized the need for a shared regional strategy to accelerate investments in renewable energy, green hydrogen, infrastructure and integrated industrial value chains.
Finally, digital transformation emerged as a major driver of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation. Speakers called for the development of trusted digital ecosystems, enhanced data sharing, stronger artificial intelligence capabilities and improved cybersecurity to support the transformation of businesses and territories across the region.
At the conclusion of the three-day forum, a clear consensus emerged: in the face of geopolitical, climate and economic challenges, only stronger cooperation between both shores of the Mediterranean will enable the creation of sustainable investments, foster innovation and deliver shared prosperity.
