DIAMED – Mobilization of the Maghreb’s economic diaspora for local development

The DIAMED project aimed to support the creation of jobs and economic activities in the Maghreb countries by encouraging the commitment of local institutional and economic actors, the involvement of economic diasporas, the professional integration of young graduates, the promotion of entrepreneurship and the circulation of skills. DIAMED has contributed to local development and strengthened the entrepreneurial fabric of the Maghreb countries through activities supporting investment projects, transfer of innovation, training and personalised support.
Through the DIAMED project, ANIMA has notably set up two mentoring programmes. The first has enabled the development of support structures for investment and the creation of economic activities in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and France. The second has targeted young local entrepreneurs, thus supporting the professional integration of young Maghrebian graduates.
