The investment promotion and economic development agencies of the Euro-Mediterranean area and French-speaking countries, particularly in Africa, see their respective networks getting closer to share expertise and promote territories.

ANIMA investment Network, created in 2006, gathers 75 members across 18 countries in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. ANIMA has signed during RIAFPI’s annual conference, on 19 April 2018 in Libreville (Gabon) a partnership agreement with the International Network of French-speaking Investment Promotion Agencies (RIAFPI). This network brings together 15 investment promotion agencies from 15 members’ countries, notably in Africa.

This partnership kicked-off the conception of a programme for training, cooperation and sharing of experience among RIAFPI members, an initiative developed with ANIMA. The interaction among the members is already encouraged as part of the training cycles launched by ANIMA this year. Joint investment promotion actions gathering members of both networks are also foreseen.

The development of a joint programme of activities was also discussed during a meeting with a delegation from RIAFPI at ANIMA headquarters in Marseille on 28 May 2018, led by Esmel Emmanuel Ellis, General Director of the Centre for investment promotion in Ivory Coast (CEPICI) and president of the RIAFPI. He was accompanied by Romaric Atchourou, Secretary General of RIAFPI, and Véronique Ledru, representative of Business France, Vice President of the two networks.
