IMPACT – ANIMA was present at the congress on Enhancing Innovation and Investments by SMEs on Circularity organized by FEI and the CLUSTER4GREEN project

The Federation of Egyptian Industries hosted more than 100 participants at its congress on Enhancing Innovation and Investments by SMEs on Circularity organized on March 14, 2023 in Cairo with the support of CLUSTER4GREEN project. This event presented economic concepts and opportunities associated with the circular economy and sustainable investment and highlighted innovative strategies and business models.
The circular economy and sustainable investment in practice
Zoé Luçon, Project Director at ANIMA, intervened to share the experience of the ANIMA network in supporting sustainable business and in particular the online tool IMPACT RATING, which provides a performance score of a company in terms of economic, social, environmental and territorial impacts.
Through the CLUSTER4GREEN project, ANIMA is collaborating with teams from the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI), Berytech, the Amman Chamber of Industry, and the Confederation of Citizen Enterprises of Tunisia (CONECT) to design and implement national programs to engage businesses in sustainability strategies. Work is being done to target the priority issues in each country – Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Tunisia – to set up local versions of IMPACT RATING. The IMPACT RATING scoring will thus make it possible to identify priority actions to improve the practices of the companies selected by these CLUSTER4GREEN pilot programs. In Egypt, these will be the 3 winners of the pitching session organized after the Conference by Icealex, a consulting firm in innovation partner of the FEI. A highlight that honored 10 talented and innovative Egyptian companies, committed to meet the challenges of ecological transition in Egypt.
