Emmanuel Noutary, Managing Director of Anima Investment Network, had the pleasure of speaking on November 14, 2023, at two roundtables on the themes of sustainable development organized in Marseille, on the campus of KEDGE Business School. This event marked the launch of the “Humaniterre” chair, supported by Acted and Kedge, bringing together participants around the three fundamental Convergences challenges: Zero exclusion, Zero carbon, Zero poverty  ;

In his speech, Emmanuel Noutary addressed the crucial question of how companies in the Middle East and Africa are positioning themselves to meet these challenges, and how to involve them in a meaningful way. He highlighted the remarkable dynamism of new entrepreneurs in these regions, who are tackling sustainable development issues such as water management, waste management, energy and transportation issues that impact on access to healthcare infrastructure.

He highlighted the often low-capital-cost innovations proposed by the new generation of entrepreneurs, stressing that they deserve to inspire European countries in their quest for sustainable solutions. He also stressed the crucial importance of regulation in guiding companies towards models aligned with social and environmental responsibility.

At ANIMA, Emmanuel Noutary emphasized the conviction that the triptych “measure, accompany, reward” is essential to engage companies. He highlighted the Impact Rating tool, set up by the ANIMA network several years ago, which aims to identify companies’ strengths and weaknesses and support them towards a more positive impact, covering economic, social, environmental and territorial aspects..

In conclusion, Emmanuel Noutary expressed his gratitude for the invitation to this event, extending his thanks to Frédéric Roussel, Aurélien Daunay, Hart Ford, Alexandre de Navailles, Aude Debarle, while wishing good luck to the “Humaniterre” chair. This event, rich in exchange and reflection, illustrates Anima Investment Network’s ongoing commitment to sustainable development and greater social and environmental responsibility.
