NETWORK – ANIMA and DiafrikInvest partner with the FIELD Forum of CJD Senegal and the Rencontres Africa of Dakar

October 2019 will be focused on Senegal with a sequence of three exceptional events dedicated to entrepreneurship, investment and the diaspora that will take place in Dakar, from 22 to 25 October.
DiafrikInvest 2nd Investment Academy
On October 22, 2019, the CJD Senegal is organising, in the framework of DiafrikInvest, the second Investment Academy of the acceleration programme dedicated to entrepreneurship and investment. For a one-day workshop, entrepreneurs selected by DiafrikInvest will benefit from coaching sessions during which they will be trained in fundraising processes and techniques, led by Thameur Hemdane, founder and president of Afrikwity, a pioneering equity crowdfunding platform in Africa.
From 4:30 pm, the event will open its doors to the general public, who will be invited to join the session “Feedback on fundraising experiences in Senegal” during which investors, financing experts and entrepreneurs will be speaking to give their views.
FIELD – Forum for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Leadership in Dakar
On October 23 and 24, 2019, at the King Fahd in Dakar, the first edition of the FIELD – Forum for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Leadership in Dakar, jointly organized by the Center for Young Leaders of Senegal (CJD senegal) and the CJD Guinea, will take place. The theme of this event is: “Investing in Senegal: Opportunity, Support, Diaspora”.
In the presence of entrepreneurs benefiting from the DiafrikInvest acceleration programme, many members of the CJD (Senegal, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Algeria, France, etc.), ANIMA Investment Network and Stanford Seed programme, the FIELD will bring entrepreneurs, experts, support structures and officials from all over Africa for two days of plenary sessions, panels, workshops, B2B meetings and networking sessions.
This event will also be the opportunity to officially present the digital platform for productive investment of the Senegalese diaspora, supported by the CJD Senegal and implemented as part of DiafrikInvest.

Finally, the beneficiaries of the DiafrikInvest programme are invited to take part in the fourth edition of the Rencontres Africa, which will be held in Rufisque at the Abdou Diouf International Conference Centre (CICAD) in Diamniadio on 24 and 25 October 2019. ANIMA Investment Network is a partner of this major event where more than 5,000 French and African private business decision-makers are expected.
Organised for the second time on the African continent, this year’s Rencontres Africa will bring together 30 African countries for a business convention combining economic performance and valorisation of inclusive co-development strategies between France and Africa, an essential BtoB business meeting for any company wishing to develop in Africa. On the agenda: conferences/workshops, BtoB meetings and sectoral meetings, enriched after 3 successful editions.
The participants in the Senegal Business Mission 2019 – organised by ANIMA Investment Network, the Oriental Agency, Africa Link, CJD Senegal, AMEC, CONECT and StartUp Morocco – are invited to take part in the three events and will benefit from support during the Rencontres Africa to organise meetings at selected forums, targeted B2B meetings, conferences and workshops, and a large shared exhibition hall.
