REA-BRIDGE Africa at EMERGING Valley 2021

Created in 2017 in Aix-Marseille-Provence, the new Hub of emerging innovations between Europe and Africa, EMERGING Valley is the international summit that attracts to Provence investors, African startups and African and emerging digital ecosystems that want to strengthen their international attractiveness, develop their business relationships and accelerate their impact at the global scale.

As a partner, ANIMA will be present at this edition, to present and gather its network around the REA-BRIDGE Africa project launched in collaboration with Business France and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. This meeting will be the occasion to present REA-BRIDGE Africa to the European and French delegations present, and to launch two activities of the project on the 13th of december from 2 to 5pm :

• A mentoring programme for 15 African entrepreneurs who are members of REA (Réseau d’entrepreneurs africain), mobilising mentors from the African diaspora based in France or in Africa. REA-BRIDGE Africa relies in particular on the French African Foundation to recruit the mentors. Part of the class of entrepreneurs will be put in touch with their mentors during Emerging Valley, in the framework of a workshop organised on the afternoon of 13 December.
• A twinning programme between REAs will be launched during the event, at a workshop for REA facilitators on the afternoon of 13 December. Twinning aims to foster collaboration between networks, mutual learning and the development of joint projects.

The EMERGING Valley Summit creates lasting bridges by bringing together in the same place and at the same time, the most influential players in the digital and tech industry in Europe and Africa: impact investors, role models, startups, corporates, tech hubs, support structures, competitiveness clusters, civil society, ministers and political decision-makers, investors and major donors from Africa, the Mediterranean and Europe! Emerging Valley is a unique opportunity to meet them all in one place. This edition marks the opportunity to meet physically after several years of pandemic Covid-19.
