The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (or CETA), is a new trade agreement between the European Union and Canada that will simplify the trade in goods and services, resulting in cooperative benefits for citizens and businesses in the EU and in Canada.
On 21st September 2017, CETA entered into force on a provisional basis and most of the agreement (99%) is thus already applicable. Almost five years after the entry into force of CETA, new simplification scenarios have opened up in exports and in the exchange of goods and services between the EU and Canada.
