ICC Booster Meet

In order to connect the cultural and creative industries (CCI) Tunisian and French, was held Thursday 23 and Friday, February 24, the ICC Booster Meet at the French Institute of Tunisia to bring together entrepreneurs, cultural and creative actors and technical and financial operators of both countries.

ANIMA Investment Network and the REA-BRIDGE Africa project were honored during this event.

The program of the ICC Booster Meet

The forum of cultural and creative companies “ICC Booster Meet”, organized by the platform “Cultural & Creative industries Boost – CCi Boost”, in partnership with the French Institute of Tunisia, aims to connect the ecosystems of cultural and creative entrepreneurship Tunisian and French and to support cultural and creative enterprises in both countries. This event also allowed the entrepreneurs and their projects to be known by the general public.

On this occasion :

  • Panels and discussions on the state of play and practices in support of CCI development.
  • A forum of Tunisian and French CCI companies.
  • Speed-meetings between CCI operators and CCI support organisations.

This first hybrid edition is funded by the French Embassy in Tunisia, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation and Culture Funding Watch has brought together entrepreneurs, cultural and creative actors and technical and financial operators Tunisian and French.

Soft landing in Tunisia and France

Sarah Hassnaoui, REA-BRIDGE Africa project manager moderated a panel on soft-landing in Tunisia and France, with the speakers Zeineb Massaoud, CEO The Dot, Jonathan Sinivassane, Director – India, Middle East and Africa International Investment Promotion Paris&Co, Godefroy Vujicic Managing Director, Pictanovo, Omar Hedhli Business France.

The diversity of the panelists’ profiles allowed us to identify several good practices regarding soft-landing in the CCI field;

  1. It is important to qualify the needs of the entrepreneur and to build a network of partners to have a tailored approach to projects
  2. a trusted third party – such as a member of the diaspora or a local investor – are good guarantors of the soft-landing mission
  3. When we talk about CCI, we observe that the interlocutors are either cultural or business actors – but a soft-landing CCI is more complicated because it is necessary to navigate between the two.

Finally, ANIMA has also been present at B2B meetings to promote its goals.

Many thanks to Culture Funding Watch for the invitation.
