ANIMA Investment Network seduced by Morocco’s strategic vision and dazzling development opens its first foreign office in the Kingdom

ANIMA Investment Network, a cooperative network serving sustainable, shared economic development in the countries of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, is proud to announce the launch of ANIMA Advisory Services, a consultancy and support office for players in the economic ecosystem.

ANIMA Advisory Services in Morocco: Promotion, Attractiveness, Support and Mobilization

ANIMA Maroc’s missions include promoting companies that create value for society, enhancing the Kingdom’s attractiveness to outside entrepreneurs and investors, supporting economic development strategies, particularly in the Moroccan regions, helping to strengthen the ANIMA network in Morocco, and mobilizing cooperation and funding for Moroccan players.

More broadly, ANIMA Advisory Services aims to contribute, alongside Moroccan institutions, to the success of Morocco’s development model in the context of climate challenges and the relocalization of value chains around the Mediterranean Basin.

Morocco has always been present in the history of ANIMA Investment Network. When it was founded in 2006 as an association, the president was Moroccan. The network’s first projects with the European Commission were signed by Moroccans.

Morocco has rapidly become the network’s second largest contingent of members after France, alongside Tunisia, and the network boasts quality relationships with key players in Morocco, both members and partners, such as AMDIE, the Centre Régional d’Investissement Souss Massa, Center Régional d’Investissement Guelmim, Centre Régional d’Investissement Drâa-Tafilalet, Centre Régional d’Investissement de Laâyoune Sakia El Hamra, SMIT Morocco, Start Up Maroc. The network also collaborates with AMCI, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Maroc Clusters, MeM by CGEM, and the Enabel and GIZ representations in Morocco.

Active commitment and promising expansion

ANIMA Investment Networkhas already carried outseveral projects in Morocco, including support for the Menara Cluster and its member companies. A GIZ Morocco-funded project that led to the creation of the CAIAC research center. ANIMA has also supported the creation of a network of economic ambassadors in Souss Massa, called Souss Massa Promotion, a project carried out with the CRI Souss Massa, with funding from Enabel Maroc, and has contributed to the implementation of budgetary support measures for corporate R&D, in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and the CGEM.

To date, the network’s experts are mentoring start-ups with MSEC, an initiative funded by GIZ Morocco, supporting several Moroccan clusters within the Euromed Clusters Forward program, funded by the European Union, and collaborating with several Regional Investment Centers. In addition, the team is working on the “Link Up Africa” program funded by the European Union, implemented by Enabel, and coordinated by AMCI, on an action plan called Start Africa.

The opening of the Morocco office follows these achievements, responds to the demands of economic actors to be closer for logistical and administrative questions, and aligns with the regionalization dynamic that has been in place since decentralization, for several years. This includes the 2019 reform of regional investment centers and today’s new investment charter, which emphasizes job-creating investments, territorial development, and encourages investments in promising sectors such as renewable energy, industry, and new communication technologies.

The Rabat office will be managed by Virginie RUYER, who has been in Morocco since 2008, and has been an entrepreneur for 14 years. She also worked for 3 years as a communications and business consulting expert with the ANIMA Investment Network.
