Emmanuel Noutary, Managing Director of ANIMA Investment Network, and Zoé Luçon, Senior Expert, have just successfully completed a year’s work with the Convention des Entreprises pour le Climat (CEC). This initiative aims to guide companies towards regenerative models, underlining the crucial importance of ecological transition in the business world;

This journey had a profound impact on Emmanuel Noutary, prompting him to recognize the urgency of climate change and the need for companies to switch to more sustainable business models, while rethinking all value chains. In an experience-sharing interview, he recalls how this journey has been revelatory, opening our eyes to the imperative of change.

Within the ANIMA network, initial caution was the order of the day, considering the disparities between member countries in terms of responsibilities, consequences, equipment and development. However, against all expectations, the team found widespread sensitivity and acceptability within the network, underlining unity on these crucial issues.

The exchanges were catalyzed at the Innovation 4 The Planet Forum organized in Cyprus last June, in collaboration with Invest Cyprus – CIPA and EBSOMED European Commission, with the support of Carlos Alvarez Pereira from CLUB DE ROME. This event marked the start of the ANIMA team’s mobilization to draw up a roadmap for the next strategic review, with the active involvement of network members.

The Board of Directors, made up of 14 countries from both sides of the Mediterranean, has also played a key role, carrying out substantial work to revise ANIMA’s statutes to bring them into line with current environmental and societal issues.

This willingness to act also highlights the recent launch of Euromed iHouse in Cyprus aiming to create an incubation facility for technology transfer and cooperation in private sector-led transitions.

ANIMA expresses its gratitude to all those involved in this collective work, specifically mentioning Olivier Renaud, Véronique Meunier, Joelle Bringer Letouzé, and the whole team at the CEC.

This commitment demonstrates ANIMA Investment Network’s determination to play a leading role in the ecological transition, by joining forces within the Euromed Africa network.
