The Euromed Invest project was the continuation of the Invest in Med project (2008-2011). It helped to stimulate business and private investment in the EuroMed area and to contribute to the inclusive economic development of the region. More specifically, the project aimed at supporting business and investment networks in the implementation of targeted strategies supporting foreign investment and the international development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
The most promising sectors in terms of job creation and economic spin-offs have concentrated Euromed Invest’s activities: agri-food, water and renewable energies, tourism, transport and logistics, cultural and creative industries.
The project has increased inclusive investment flows and the number of business partnerships between Euro-Med countries. It has also strengthened the services offered to Mediterranean SMEs and startups.
Several seminars and training courses on territorial marketing, foreign direct investment promotion and investor services have also been held for Mediterranean economic development agencies.
