Peer technical exchange
The short-term twinning programme between economic development and investment promotion agencies or business support organisations aims to develop technical exchanges and/or transfer of know-how. This programme is open to agencies from the European Union and the Southern Mediterranean region, either as an expert organisation providing twinning technical assistance or as a twinning beneficiary.
These twinning arrangements are monitored by ANIMA in the framework of the EBSOMED project co-financed by the European Commission. Travel, accommodation and logistical costs can be covered by EBSOMED according to the project conditions.
Selection
Partner pairs are selected on the basis of their joint project, their motivation and their commitment to capitalize on the transfer of know-how.
Sustainability of twinning arrangements
With a view to the sustainability of the relations between the organisations benefiting from twinning, it is desirable to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in order to seal the bases of a long-term partnership.
Testimonials
“The Centre de promotion des exportations de Tunisie (CEPEX) benefited from a twinning with the Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency (AWEX) in 2019. This experience sharing, involving about 20 AWEX staff members, has provided CEPEX management with innovative practices to support exports and the internationalisation of companies.
In 2020, we plan to capitalize on this twinning to develop our new strategy, with a service offer even more responsive to companies.”
Hajer Denguezli, Director of Foresight and International Cooperation, CEPEX
