OPPORTUNITY – Cluster Business Connect : Call for Collaborative Projects – Strengthening Euro-Mediterranean Value Chains

🌍 What Is Cluster Business Connect?

As part of the Euromed Clusters Forward project, ANIMA Investment Network is pleased to launch a call for applications for collaborative projects aimed at developing Euro-Mediterranean value chains and strengthening inter-cluster business and technology cooperation across the region.

Cluster Business Connect is an initiative designed to foster inclusive innovation, encourage cross-border business linkages , and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises in the South Neighbourhood region.

We are calling on clusters and similar business networks from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, and the EU to submit proposals for collaborative projects that strengthen regional value chains and foster business and technology partnerships.

🤝 Why Apply?

  • Get funded: Up to €45,000 for selected collaborative projects.
  • Go international, get new markets: Partner with clusters across the EU and South Med.
  • Make impact: Co-develop new value chains and create lasting economic ties, with joint business or research collaboration.
  • Access opportunities: Participate in high-impact matchmaking business missions and events.

Cluster Business Connect projects may include various activities like matchmaking, workshops, peer exchanges, consultancy, and participation in business missions and events.

💼 Who Can Apply?

Clusters and cluster-like organizations established in:

  • European Union countries
  • South Med countries: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Tunisia, Morocco

For your information : Clusters involved must be registered (or in the process of registration) on the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP).

🧩 What We’re Looking For

  • Collaborative proposals involving at least 2 clusters from different countries (min. 1 EU & 1 South Med).
  • Clear project objectives, activities, expected results, and a detailed budget.
  • Each organization can submit up to two project proposals, but only 10 collaborative projects will be selected for implementation.
  • Short-term projects, up to 8 months maximum, with implementation period on year 2025-2026

🎯 Expected Outcomes

  • For clusters: the creation of a market access strategy and long-term business partnerships with other Euromed clusters, leading to new business and technology collaborations.
  • For cluster members: active involvement in cross-border projects, new partnerships, product and service innovation, and expanded access to regional and international markets.

Your application must include:

  • A technical proposal (using Annex 1 template) outlining your methodology, activities, and timeline
  • A detailed financial proposal in EUR (using Annex 2 template)

Euromed Clusters Forward is a European Union-cofunded project led by ANIMA Investment Network (France) and co-implemented with Berytech (Lebanon), Leaders International (Palestine), and the Economic Research Forum (Egypt). Supported by affiliate partners across Europe and the South Med, the initiative aims to empower clusters and promote inclusive, sustainable growth across the Mediterranean.
