CONFERENCE – Méditerranée du Futur Acte VI

See you in September 2023 at the 6th edition of the Mediterranean of the Future organized by the Sud-Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, member of the ANIMA network in Marseille.

For the past five years, Méditerranée du Futur has been focusing on solutions to the challenges of today’s climate change, which are more pronounced in the Mediterranean than in other regions, making our geographical area an open laboratory for solutions. The two shores of the Mediterranean are united around a common goal: to identify solutions to guarantee a sustainable future. Thanks to Méditerranée du Futur, we are gaining a better understanding of these challenges.

ACT VI – Every drop counts. Water is life

This new edition of “Méditerranée du Futur” is a continuation of the initiative supported by the European Parliament and the European Union’s Committee of the Regions, with the participation of numerous Mediterranean regions. This initiative aims to establish a macro-regional strategy for the Mediterranean, coordinating actions undertaken at different levels to meet the challenges of preserving and managing water resources.

The planned exchanges will enable us to mobilize all the forces at work in the face of common challenges such as global warming, droughts and water shortages, problems of access to drinking water and sanitation, pollution, damage to biodiversity, urban development, as well as conflicts, humanitarian crises and migrations.

The participants

Complementing the Rencontres Méditerranéennes, this event aims to bring together public and private players of international and Euro-Mediterranean renown, recognized for their contribution to reflection on the theme of water, as well as for the design and implementation of innovative and ambitious solutions in the Mediterranean.
