The 8th edition of the World Investment Forum will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the week of October 16-20, 2023 and it will be packed with informative events, impactful initiatives and innovative solutions to global development investment challenges. About the World Investment Forum 

Created as a premier event by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the WIF has historically served as a primary platform for facilitating high-level discourse on the world’s most pressing investment and development challenges. The Forum is organized by UNCTAD’s Division on Investment and Enterprise, which seeks to ensure inclusive growth and sustainable development worldwide, and supported by Abu Dhabi’s Ministry of Economy and Department of Economic Development (ADDED) as lead partners.

Over a five-day period, participants will have the opportunity to attend a series of conferences, workshops, debates and performances. The event will focus on critical topics such as investment for development, food security, energy, supply chain resilience, growing productive capacity in the poorest countries, as well as climate finance and investment. 

Invited speakers will include renowned personalities, international experts, policymakers, business leaders, sovereign wealth fund managers, civil society representatives and many others. The event will serve as a high-level platform for dialogue and action on investment for development.

Program

The World Investment Forum 2023 program is diverse, covering a wide range of topics related to sustainable investment. Participants will have the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of green finance, investment policies, investment promotion tools and governance rules in this field. In addition, a special track will be dedicated to the promotion of climate finance and investment, contributing to the preparation of COP28..
