ANIMA – 2019 Annual Report
Published on 29 September 2020
The ANIMA team and the network partners have implemented a particularly ambitious work programme in 2019 with 91 events bringing together more than 3000 participants, including 1400 enterprises. The southern Mediterranean countries were in the majority among these participants, with the Tunisians, Moroccans and Egyptians in the lead, followed by the Palestinians and the Lebanese. Participation from sub-Saharan Africa increased from 7% to 18% between 2018 and 2019, illustrating the network’s desire to open up to the entire continent.
The impact of the network’s activity is constantly increasing, since the number of people trained (879 in 2019) and the number of business meetings organised (1088) have tripled over the last two years.
ANIMA has also strengthened its institutional partnerships in 2019, notably with new partnerships developed with OECD, UNCTAD, Agence de l’Oriental, the Région Sud-Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur, MedCités, Aix-Marseille University and Business France.
